Ruth has a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and a Level 5 Certificate in working with Children and Young People. Ruth draws on a range of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Person-Centred and Psychodynamic therapies.

Ruth is professional counsellor with over eight years of experience working with clients in a variety of roles, including as an Inclusion Practitioner in Education within Kent’s schools, and with adults and young people through counselling agencies.
In education, Ruth has worked directly with parents, young people, and professionals, supporting their understanding of autism, the impacts of sensory differences, and anxiety.

Her priority is to provide a supportive, safe, and confidential space. Ruth believes in a creative, and collaborative approach when working with clients to understand and address any difficult issues they may be dealing with. This includes exploring solutions in response to a client’s specific and immediate concerns and supporting them in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and others around them.
