Dr Tammy Wai Tung Hung is a registered practitioner with the Health and Care Profession.

Dr Tammy completed her BSc (Hons) undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Aberdeen and a Master’s degree in clinical and health psychology from Newcastle University. Dr Tammy then went on to achieve a post-graduate certificate in low-intensity CBT interventions at University College London where she also completed her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.

Dr Tammy has worked in the NHS for the past 7 years, working with people across the age span in a variety of NHS settings from adults’ mental health services to paediatrics services. During her clinical training, she became interested in specialising in working with children and young people with physical health conditions as well as supporting their families in the community and hospital settings.

Dr Tammy adopts an integrative approach by drawing on a range of psychological approaches in her work. These include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Systemic ideas, narrative approaches, and techniques from Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (CFT).

In addition to working as an Associate for Foundations with children young people, Dr Tammy currently works in the NHS at the Evelina Children’s Hospital. In her current role, Dr Tammy works closely with the family and the wider system, providing consultations and liaison to school and other professionals.
