
Dr Michelle completed her BSc (Hons) undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Loughborough, followed by a master’s degree in forensic psychology at Middlesex University.
Dr Michelle Clark is a registered practitioner psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (PYL 38938).
Dr Michelle completed her BSc (Hons) undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Loughborough, followed by a master’s degree in forensic psychology at Middlesex University. Dr Michelle completed her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at the Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology, Canterbury Christ Church University, in 2020.
Dr Michelle has worked as a clinical psychologist in a range of community and inpatient mental health settings, with both young people and adults. This includes working with young people in a specialist neurodevelopmental child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS). She is passionate about supporting families and support networks, and held the position of families and carers lead in a previous NHS role.
Therapeutically, Dr Michelle draws on principles from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (including parent-led CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. She is also fully trained to carry out ADI-R and ADOS-2 assessments.
Dr Michelle currently works therapeutically in private practice with people across the lifespan, alongside conducting comprehensive cognitive and psychological assessments. She is also kept busy as a mum of three young children.
