Beccie is a registered systemic and family psychotherapist, with the UKCP and the Association of Family Therapy. Beccie achieved her Batchelor of Science Degree, with honours in Psychology. She then completed a Masters in Systemic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock & Portman (University of Essex).

Beccie has worked with children and young people, and their families, in Kent and South London for over 20 years. Beccie has extensive experience working in the NHS with many different mental health presentations, for example, first episode psychosis, schizophrenia, autistic spectrum conditions, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, low mood. Beccie has a clear and sympathetic understanding of some of the challenges and difficulties families face when trying to navigate wider health and education systems.

Beccie offers systemic and family psychotherapy / family therapy to children and families, couples and individuals keen to think about their relationships. Family therapy can help families when they are overwhelmed, sad, angry, frustrated and at times of illness, stress or change, but also when they have questions and uncertainties and want a place to think through dilemmas and challenges. Beccie also has lots of experience working with couples and wider family systems, believing that family can look like many different things.

Beccie offers a non-judgemental and strengths based therapeutic space, enabling all family members to have a space to talk openly and safely about their own experiences. Family therapists believe in multiple perspectives, that there are often many different ways of looking at a situation. Understanding that it can be anxiety provoking to seek therapy, Beccie works hard to make sure that everyone in the family feels heard and listened to, working at a pace that is appropriate for the needs of all the family.
