Anna is an integrative counsellor who practises in an accepting and compassionate way, celebrating every young person’s unique potential. She adapts her approach to each client, gently introducing creativity and psycho-education as part of the work. The goal is for the young person to develop their own tool kits to communicate their needs, self-regulate and build healthy relationships.

She currently works in private practice and for the charity West Kent Mind. Prior to this Anna worked as a counsellor in a secondary school, working with clients with autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia. Common presenting issues included self-harm, school avoidance, anxiety and low self-esteem. She has also worked in a counselling setting supporting unpaid carers across Kent.

As a parent of two children with Special Educational Needs, Anna understands what it is like to constantly battle for diagnosis and reasonable adjustments. She is also very happy to have experienced the relief and joy of working with amazing professionals who put your child’s needs centre of everything – and have seen the impact that has on a child as they flourish. So, she is thrilled to be joining the wonderful team at Foundations!

Anna holds a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is also a freelance writer specialising in parenting and children’s mental health.
