Jo is our Clinical Co-ordinator and looks after our therapy service, including enquiries, bookings, and service development. Jo is passionate about improving the lives of neurodivergent people and people experiencing mental ill health. She has been working with neurodivergent people for 15 years in various settings including care work, play work, and research.
With a PhD in psychology from the University of Bath, and published academic papers on cognition in autism, Jo left a career in academia to work in a more clinical setting, where she has been working in neurodevelopmental services for the last 6 years. Alongside her work at Foundations, Jo also works in the third sector in a charity providing support to neurodivergent people.
Jo is neurodivergent herself, and a parent of a small person going through the assessment process, so understands the difficulties that families can face, and how hard it can be trying to find the right help. She will do her best to advise on the types of therapy that we offer, and which therapist or type of therapy might be helpful for your child.
