Dr Emma Reames is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.

She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (BSc) at Durham University, followed by her Master’s Degree in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice at University College London (UCL). Dr. Emma then completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at UCL.

Dr. Emma has experience working with people across the lifespan and in a range of settings, including working with children and young people in mental health services, in a neurorehabilitation centre for young people with brain injuries, in an Intensive Care Unit for adults, and in a memory service for older adults with dementia.

Dr Emma utilises a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and systemic techniques. She adopts an integrative, trauma-informed and person-centred approach, taking into account the sociocultural and environmental factors affecting children and their families. In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Emma has extensive research experience in neurodevelopmental conditions and is passionate about supporting neurodivergent children and their families, providing the tailored support they need to thrive.

Alongside Foundations, Dr Emma works full-time in a neuropsychology post within an NHS memory service in London.
